Lullaby
10 - 11 April
Lullaby was a surround sound illuminated artwork for families, created by Barking and Dagenham residents and delivered at dusk to their door - by bike.
A parade of twinkling bicycles, playing ambient and serene music, passed through the streets of Barking & Dagenham on the evenings of the 10th and 11th April, with each day covering a different route in the borough.
Residents watched at their windows, waited on their doorsteps and listened to soundtrack that filled their street during as the as they drifted off to sleep...

Artist, Luke Jerram’s multidisciplinary practice involves the creation of sculptures, installations and live art projects.
Living in the UK but working internationally since 1997, Jerram has created a number of extraordinary artworks which have excited and inspired people around the globe.

Unfortunately, due to the sad passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh the presentation of Lullaby planned for Friday 9th April did not take place.
Performances on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th April are being supported by Barking & Dagenham Council as part of the Becontree Forever programme.
