Lantern Parade
2022
Lantern-making workshops
As part of the Guy Fawkes Lantern Parade, we coordinated lantern-making workshops for local residents and schools.
The Guy Fawkes parade theme inspired the lanterns to designed around the idea of ‘fire’.
With a team of artists leading the workshops, we saw hundreds of families make their own lanterns at Eastbury Manor House and Broadway Theatre in Barking.
Our evening ‘design and make’ workshops invited adults to get creative too, learning from artists how to design, make and build their own lanterns.
Hundreds of lanterns were made in October and November and carried in the parade, which lit-up the streets of Barking.
