A trip to the Canary Wharf Winter Lights
Join Creative Barking and Dagenham for a magical evening at Canary Wharf to experience the stunning Winter Lights display.
The trail will take you on a journey around Canary Wharf through 12 spectacular temporary installations, as well as the permanent light artworks. Showcasing some of the most innovative light artists across the globe, the 2025 festival explores the transformative and otherworldly qualities of art and light, featuring portals, black holes and mirages. Funding News
We have been awarded additional funding from Arts Council England.
This funding will allow us to continue our work up-to March 2026. We are incredibly pleased to be able to bring even more incredible creative opportunities to residents.
We are part of the Creative People and Places programme, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
Thanks to National Lottery players, Creative People and Places is about more people taking the lead in choosing, creating and taking part in creative and cultural experiences where they live.

Winter Light Parades
Led by the internationally acclaimed street theatre company, Picto Facto from Toulouse, France. The Winter Light parades took place across Barking and Dagenham in November 2024.

Light Box Workshops
Ahead of the Winter Light Parades, locals were invited to make bright, colourful light boxes. This was a creative workshop for all ages, taking place in community venues across the borough.
